App Updates
Dynomate checks the stable update channel when the app starts. It checks again once each hour while the app remains open.
Automatic checks
When a newer version is available, Dynomate opens the Update Available dialog. A failed background check does not block the rest of the app. The update starts only after you select Download Now.
Download an update
- Read the version number in the dialog.
- Select Download Now.
- Keep Dynomate open while the progress bar and percentage update.
- Wait for the Update Ready to Install message.
Apply the update
Select Restart Now to relaunch Dynomate and use the new version. Select Restart Later to close the dialog and keep working. The downloaded update is not active until Dynomate relaunches.
If the automatic relaunch fails, close Dynomate and open it again manually.
Later and retry behavior
- Later closes the available update dialog without downloading.
- Try Again clears a download error and returns to the available update prompt.
- If a retry fails, close and relaunch Dynomate. Startup triggers a new update check.
- Dynomate does not apply a downloaded update without a relaunch.
App update events are not AWS activity and do not appear in Logs. Use the message in the update dialog when you report an update failure.
